About this site
This is an independent reference site for EA SPORTS UFC 5, built for the version of the game that exists after its content run ended. It is not affiliated with EA, UFC or any of their partners, and it does not host game files, mods or downloads.
Why the site exists
UFC 5 shipped in October 2023 and stopped adding content in January 2026. In between, EA published an unusually good reference library — more than ninety technique pages, a full control map for each console, a roster hub and a patch archive — and then stopped.
What it never published is the joined-up version. The tips pages quote Xbox inputs only. The control pages list each console separately. The roster hub gives names, divisions and star tags with no numbers. The patch notes are individual posts with no index.
This site is that index. Every mechanic page reads across consoles; every data page states its count and its date; every claim that comes from a trophy guide rather than from EA says so on the page.
Where the information comes from
| Source | What it provides |
|---|---|
| ea.com tips and tricks hub | 91 technique entries, each with an input and a mechanic explanation |
| ea.com controls hub | The full PS5 and Xbox button maps |
| ea.com roster hub | 74 fighter cards, five category views, 11 weight classes |
| ea.com Alter Egos hub | 96 cards across 25 named series |
| ea.com news archive | Patch notes 1.19 to 1.27 and the January 2026 closure post |
| help.ea.com | Platforms, cross-play, Create a Fighter, Fight Week, level-up, glossary |
| Trophy guide sites | Trophy counts, difficulty, time, missable flags |
The trophy data is the one category that does not come from EA. EA does not publish trophy difficulty or completion times, so those numbers are attributed to the guides that measured them.
What the site will not do
It will not invent fighter attributes. The official roster hub does not publish them, so any table with striking or grappling numbers for a fighter would be fabricated.
It will not publish a tier list. A tier list needs a ranking methodology and a data source; the game provides neither.
It will not write about UFC 6's systems. There is one comparison page, and it exists to answer "which should I buy", not to document the sequel.
It will not claim to have tested anything. The mechanics on this site are documented from EA's published material, and they are presented as documentation rather than as first-hand testing.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, the useful report includes the page, the claim, and the source that contradicts it. Corrections with a source get priority; corrections without one get checked against the official material and applied if the official material agrees.
The contact page has the address.
How the site is built
Static HTML, generated by a small Python script, no client-side framework, no tracking beyond a single analytics tag. Images are official EA promotional and in-game assets, used for reference and credited in the design brief.
The site carries advertising, which is disclosed on the privacy page. It does not carry affiliate links to game stores.
